What is "The Goo"?

The Goo helps programmers stick things together. This is a pretty lame definition but it will do for the moment. In the next few blog entries I'll be exploring some of the design themes behind "The Goo". I'll come back at some point and come up with a more useful definition - so watch this space! In the meantime I want to explore the design ideas behind The Goo. Here they are:
  • The Pain
  • Saving your mental bandwidth
  • Cognitive Chunking
  • Augmentation
  • Context Switching
  • DRY ICE
  • Contract First Programming
  • Scaffolding
  • Code Cutting Chefs
  • Coding Trails
  • Metal work meets Computer Science
  • Sticking Together Things and Thangs
  • <<Heredocs and Theredocs>>
  • Typeless Translation SMS Style
  • DIY Toolbox
  • Much more to come ...
All this so I can code better, faster, easier and hopefully it will inspire ideas in you too!
